Well...I won't backtrack, so we will just forge ahead.
The kids are now 8 and 4, changing ever single day. The picture above is Easter Sunday and the kids were hamming it up for the camera. Jude picked out Dylan's dress and his shirt to go with it. At this age they can be so very sweet to one another and drive each other flipping crazy the next! When they are apart though, they are always thinking of each other and wanting to bring something back to the other one.
Matt will graduate this May with his EMBA. It has been a 2 year process, one we are both thankful will soon be coming to an end. He has really burned the candle at both ends, working, studying, and making time for me and the kids. We are all really proud of him.
Dylan is such a funny, warm, and thoughtful little girl. Everyone loves her. She has had a interesting 2nd grade year....math (like her mom) is not her thing, but she is working really really hard. She loves playing goalie, basketball, and now softball. Never a care in the world for this one! Her passion is singing and she will be singing with a youth band in Dallas on May 4th. She is so excited....she said "Mommy, this is my big chance!" I love that munchkin!
Jude is coming out of his shell more and more. He had surgery to remove his tonsils, adenoids, and tubes placed in his ears in early January. Poor guy had some pretty aggressive hearing loss due to constant ear infections. Basically, his favorite things are to be with Mommy, to be with Mommy, to be with Mommy, play with Dylan, and wrestle with Daddy. He loves to read....we read all the time! He plays Ninja turtles, super hero's, and anything Dylan tells him to play. He has an incredibly sensitive heart and is very shy in class, but comes alive at home and with friends. He opted out of soccer but is trying t-ball. That is him in the picture during game time with his hat over his eyes in outfield!
Until next time....whenever that may be!!!!
